Artistic Fabric and Accessories

Molly Rose Designs is a small fabric and furniture company created by Mary Lynn O'Shea and located in Weybridge Vermont. Mary orginally began working with upholstery fabrics exclusively in her line of hand made clothing. She struggled with the lack of beautiful textiles being made in this country and soon began working with a small American mill to design and weave her own line of fabrics. Within a few years Molly Rose Designs was born.

Our fabrics are designed to be both beautiful and functional, timeless and contemporary. They are heavy weight and durable, perfectly suited for any upholstery project. Woven with care in The United States!

People frequently tell Mary Lynn O'Shea how creative she is. To which she replies with a smile, "When you work hard at something every day for thirty years, you get pretty good at it." While O'Shea believes she may have been born with an intuitive sense of color, she acknowledges that the rest has been an incredible amount of work. Indeed, O'Shea has dedicated her life to art. In her twenties, she taught art at the college level. In her thirties, she made intricate tapestries that were sold in art galleries. Her forties and fifties have been dedicated to making and selling her own line of handwoven clothing. Now, nearing seventy, she has expanded her design sense to create a line of furniture and fabric that is both functional and beautiful. Mary takes great pride in her work, especially her attention to color and detail. The fabrics she uses are her own jacquard color combinations, which are the culmination of thirty years of experience in working with fiber and color.
