Announcement   Welcome to Mary Claires bold uniquely handcrafted jewelry and vintage. These trendy necklaces, earrings, bracelets and funky ornaments are designed to give art and color to the person who likes jewelry. Each piece in unique and helps the you stand out from the ordinary jewelry crowd.. (Not that that I have anything against gold and diamonds...) This shop contains one-of-a-kind items and is a continually evolving journey shared through Mary Claires. Many of my pieces include vintage or recycled materials that I have collected here, there and everywhere. In the voyage of here, there and everywhere, I often find very interesting vintage items which I include here in my jewelry shop. Any vintage items are curated by me to fit my taste.

The creative materials I use in the creation of this jewelry are polymer clay, resin, and many kinds of recycled materials. Of particular interest are watch parts, gears and beads from recycled jewelry from thrift stores. Giving things new life, including them with the color of polymer, encasing them in resin, and creating exciting jewelry is what Mary Claires lives for.

About

Mary Claires Artsy and Bold Jewelry

Mary Claires is a shop designed for women who want something different in their jewelry, something more art-sy and colorful. Polymer (Clay) has been a 2 year adventure into making one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry that also incorporate re-cycled jewelry bits from thrift shops and jumble sales. I take great delight in tearing these "found" pieces apart, never knowing where they might fit into designs of my polymer jewelry. My adventure with polymer has many teachers and mentors who provide inspiration and technical advice on a daily basis, but I find myself in my shop alone with that inspiration trying to do it justice while not copying. Translating that spirit and technique into jewelry for the shop is a never-ending story. If I miss day in the studio, I am a little down and feel I have missed the creative journey for that day. I hope my visitors will also enjoy my constant striving to create more interesting and colorful work.

    Owner, Artist, Creator

I am a jewelry artist who works primarily in polymer clay, but a little with resin. My primary interests are in making art and colorful objects that serve as self-decoration and my shop contains many different kinds of unique creations.
