About

How I started making jewelry and my design concepts.

Since I was a child in Japan, I was interested in arts and crafts. I attended Fine Art College in Japan and after graduation from there I chose to come to The United States.
I established an interior design business in downtown Los Angeles and was there for many years.
One day while walking around with my husband, close to where I live, I came upon a beautiful necklace at a gallery near by my home. That necklace inspired me to start making jewelry as a hobby. That was 32 years ago and since then I have gone back to Art school here in Los Angeles and studied metalsmithing for 14 yeras. I have acquired many new skills during that time and my skills improved. I started selling my jewelry at local arts and crafts fairs and shows around the Los Angeles South bay and beyond.

My design concepts come to me in many ways. I like combining East and West, using traditional Japanese motifs and textures to create the modern western style jewelry that I create today. My father had a Kimono business in Tokyo so I grew up surrounded by beautiful fabrics with textures, most wear one of a kind and each one was unique in it's own way. This most certainly inspired my love of texture and design in jewelry making.
Another one of my favorite inspirations is nature herself, I love organic shapes and colors and I use many motifs inspired from tree, flowers, and beautiful stones that give me many ideas of shapes, color combinations, and interesting textures to create one of a kind, timeless, organic handcrafted art jewelry.

I believe that unique, handcrafted jewelry, empowers the person that piece and can give them the courage, confidence and love of self, to express who they are.
Making handcrafted, unique and empowering jewelry has become my passion, joy and expression of who I am as a person and an artist.

I hope that anyone who buys my jewelry will be filled with self empowerment and will enjoy the piece that they have chosen for many years to come.

Thank you for visiting my shop, I hope you can find a piece of jewelry that speaks to you and perhaps you will be inspired to come and meet me at one of the arts and crafts fairs. I participate in around the los Angeles South bay, Orange county and beyond. Thank s for looking at my art jewelry and if I can help you with any thing or answer any questions you may have, you can contact me through the " Convos" section of my Etsy site.
Thanks agin, I hope you will enjoy !
