You have read many “Quit Your Day Job” Etsy blogs where talented creative people have turned a hobby into a successful business. Quitting one’s day job is sometimes not a personal decision but the result of your own employer’s business closing. This IS my story.

I have worn many hats in the corporate world including Manufacturing Management, IT, and Industrial Engineering where I was involved with a plethora of products, processes and development. When many were satisfied with and accepted the status quo, I was thinking of new, different, and more functional ideas.

I dabbled in woodworking and cooking as a young teen. Early failures and repetition made me learn from these “mistakes” and led to many future successes. One of these successes was the creation of Mason Meals & More where home cooking was combined with the versatility of the Mason jar to package prepared meals.

My wife is another example of my (our) success. She is the insightful crafty person of our family whereas I am more of the designer, engineer, and fabricator. Her ideas and my craftsmanship are the result of many of the products sold today. So guys, “Listen to your wife!”

The Shop is evolving to provide innovative craft products that don’t currently exist or are designed to be more functional/ easier to use... perhaps even FUN too! Thus the shop name has changed from Mason Meals & More to Craft Innovation.
