About MauiGreenstone

John Lindquist creates sea themed sculptures from glass

A spring break trip to Vancouver BC sparked my interest in creating lamp worked art glass pieces. Beginning as a hobby, I quickly realized that glass could become my future.
I moved to Maui in 2004, and became an apprentice at a long standing glass shop called Maui Crystal. I started mastering my craft and have had the opportunity to teach at Glass Stock each year in Eugene, OR.
I've taught my twin brothers the art of glass making and am happy to say they also have taken to the craft. Teaching this process is very rewarding to me and encourages me to continue to learn and practice to perfect my art.
I now own the shop I was apprenticed in with my wife and named it "Kai Pua" which means ocean flower.
