About

Artisan Jewelry - inspired by and created from natures blessings and vintage treasures

I used to think it somewhat absurd that there were entire stores devoted to beads. Really - -how many beads could someone want? And then it happened! I set foot inside of one of those crazy beads stores - - -and I looked closely - - and I realized that those semiprecious stone beads were AMAZING. They were gorgeous in all of their colors and patterns and textures. And the metals, not just gold and silver - but brass and copper and pewter. Rich and warm. I made a bracelet and found myself waiting in line at the grocery store rubbing the stone between my fingers because it was so smooth and had a little dip in the center. I found myself looking closely at beads that I had seen over and over again - but yet finding something different that I hadn't noticed before. Oh yes, I was smitten and so began my addiction into creating adornments from these incredible stones. And more recently I have found little vintage treasures such as keys, watches, coins and heirloom costume jewelry sneaking its way in as well.

I love spending time in my small studio in Maryland, creating each piece with love and attention to detail. My jewelry is designed to be beautiful, wearable and durable. And it makes my heart soar when someone enjoys wearing my jewelry as much as I have cherished making it.
