About

Our story

The Story of the Land of Me Sweet (pronounced may sweet):
Many decades ago, two young sisters created a secret language to communicate with each other. They used it to name things, people and places they would visit in their playtime together. They eventually grew up and had families of their own, but remained the best of friends. True soul sisters. These women are my mother and my aunt. Loving, hopeful and uniquely strong, I yearned to grow up just like them. To continue in their tradition, I created this Etsy store called Me Sweet (pronounced may sweet), after the affectionate name they call each other, to this day. May we all use our imagination, inspiration and light to inspire others. Relish in the little things. 100% handmade by me, with love.

Additional policies and FAQs
FAQ's:

Can you ship expedited within the US?
Yes. I will adjust shipping accordingly or create a listing to make up the difference in the shipping cost, if any.

Can you ship internationally?
I will make every effort to ship to wherever you reside. Since shipping costs vary so widely, please allow me to set a shipping cost for you once you are ready to purchse an item(s) from my shop.

Do you do any else besides sell on Etsy?
Yes! I have a full-time job as a therapist. I also try to participate in craft shows and fairs to keep things fresh and fun.

Can you sell off site?
I sell only on Etsy.com at this time. I can easily set up a custom listing for you here if you would like something created that you don't see in my inventory.

Why is your shop called Me Sweet?
Great question! Please see the about me section of my profile for the origin of my store name.

Do you have a blog?
Yes, I do. Go to http://thelandofmesweet.blogspot.com and become a "follower" of my blog. Also visit me on Facebook! From time to time, I will have giveaways, product promotions and demos.

How long have you been making things?
I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. When I was in elementary school, my mom and I would watch Martha Stewart Living every Saturday morning and then spend time creating her wonderful ideas. One of my fondest memories is of creating beautiful hand stamped wrapping paper out of brown craft paper, potato star stamps and metallic ink. Just lovely and that was long before DIY was coined a phrase.

Have fun browsing. Come back when you can :)
