About MeadowMermaids

Sales 122
On Etsy since 2019

From my kitchen to you!

When I took a break from organic farming after we moved to the mountains of southern California, I decided to take up soap-making so I could keep creating healthy, natural products. My dear friend Susan (now on Etsy at BESusanDesign) and I opened a booth at the Claremont Farmers Market, where she sold her amazing, colorful, hand-sewn creations, and I sold my handmade bath products and crochet.

After that first batch of soap in 2003 I haven't been able to stop! I continued making and selling soap in California for seven years, and kept on soap-making when my family moved to Trinidad and Tobago while I worked with Habitat for Humanity Trinidad and Tobago.

Now back in the US, I'm busy farming with the Williamsburg Community Growers and I'm the Culinary and Garden Educator with the School Health Initiative Program in Williamsburg, Virginia. But soap-making remains one of my passions! I must make soap! So I now sell my Meadow Mermaids products through Etsy and at the Williamsburg Christmas Market.

My soap is made for you with love, from my kitchen to you!
