Announcement I try to follow zero waste principles and use reclaimed materials whenever possible/practical. As a result when I recreate the same design every item is truly unique. I'm currently working my way through my honours year in Archaeology so am only able to complete a very limited number of custom items, but am still happy to receive your requests and you never know, I might already have something on hand that I just haven't managed to get listed yet.

Very acceptable quality for the price, colours as vibrant as the image states, gloves showed signs of weakness in the wool after first day of use. Tied up the loose strand before it got out of hand and now I have a distinguishing feature between the two!

Wearing many hats... And sometimes knitting them too!
I wear many hats, and sometimes I make them too.
First and foremost, I'm mum to five awesome humans, one bossy feline, one gossipy chicken and partner to possibly the world's most tolerant man.
I'm a full time Archaeology Student (currently entering my honours year). One of those "second life" learners determined to complete a degree and spend the rest of my life digging holes, sifting sand and researching far away (or not so far away) lands.
I worked for over a decade as a Gallerist and Visual Artist, curating for small public and private galleries. It was fun, frustrating and messy...
I did love it, I still do and I still make art..drawings, paintings, weird fabric creatures, funky felt brooches. squishy colourful yarny goddesses and knitted stuff made with my own handpainted yarn or any other colourful fibre that appeals.
I love it here on Etsy so much that I also have another store that I share with my sister and mum called DCI Vintage. Here we offer hand-knitted and hand-stitched vintage style clothing, vintage sewing and knitting patterns, vintage style kids clothing and some reclaimed vintage artefacts- not quite archaeology but sometimes very close too it, digging through junk shops, garages and second hand stores can be an expedition.

I wear many hats (and sometimes I knit them too). Mum, archaeology student, artist, knitter and crocheter. I love all things vintage, colourful, sci-fi, fantasy or just plain arty & weird. I love a good "Bum" joke & have a Tardis for my doormat.
You can find my handmade vintage style clothing and other items http://dcivintage.etsy.com or stalk me on Facebook: http://facebook.com/dciarts
