Made with Solar Power!
We have changed our time for your orders to leave the workshop from 3 days to one week, due to Meb's cancer and our lack of help in the workshop.

5 out of 5 starsI have purchased several of these boards as Christmas presents for my nieces. They are very versatile - either a sandwich or a small piece of cheese and some crackers. So great for these women who all love to entertain! Carola Bruflat PS Thinking of you Meb!

5 out of 5 starsI'm a frequent flyer with Meb, and LOVE all of her items-some of which I gift, and others I keep. Sometimes, I buy a gift but keep it because it's so beautiful!

New England Hardwoods Have Never Had It So Good!
Since 2004 we’ve combined Tom’s engineering and Meb’s sculptural techniques with a sense of humor to create fun, functional, highly-finished woodenwares (utensils, boards and vessels) for kitchen, tabletop and display use. Each piece is individually hand-crafted, made from sustainably harvested New England hardwoods and is finished with hand-rubbed oil.
We handpick each board, debate how best to use its grain & figure. We leave bits for each other to play with. We finish each others’ work. The result is a collaborative dance, with surprises along the way.
Our goal is to make cooking, entertaining, and decorating a visual and tactile pleasure. We imagine unknown hands enjoying the sensuous shapes, smooth textures, and luscious wood grains. We picture our utensils cr eating delectable recipes in kitchens around the world and our serving wares gracing festive gatherings.
We’ve lived off the grid on 21 forested acres since 2000. Solar power, a roof-filled cistern, gardens and a growing homestead round out our lifestyle.
Our workshop was completed in 2020 and now a small solar array is powering our work! We hold several Open Houses annually and an Open Studios in June and November.
We welcome spoon students to stay in our little cabin, enjoy the woodsy solitude, make a spoon, try on our off-grid lifestyle for long enough to appreciate the comforts of the grid… Or, who knows, maybe you’ll want to move out here!!
