The Story Behind Meg Ann Co.
Meg Ann Co. was founded in 2020 and began as a simple creative outlet. At the time, I was taking my prerequisites to get into a nursing program when the pandemic caused all of my classes to move online. With a little extra time on my hands, I picked up a Cricut and began experimenting with designs that I casually listed on Etsy. I never expected it to grow into what it is today!
Within just a few months, my shop took off on TikTok, bringing in hundreds of orders and turning what began as a creative side project into a full-time business. Within a year, I was able to quit my job and focus entirely on Meg Ann Co.
About a year after starting my business, I was accepted into nursing school and faced a tough decision: do I pursue nursing, or do I continue growing my business? I decided, why not both? My time in nursing school heavily influenced my designs, which is why many of my doodles and teddy bear designs are inspired by the medical field, blending my nursing background with my love for art and drawing.
For the past five years, I’ve been running my shop and creating hand-drawn designs that I personally press onto t-shirts and crewnecks.
Additionally, from the very beginning, helping others has been a foundation of my business. I’ve always loved sharing behind-the-scenes moments, tips, and helpful hacks, which inspired me to create digital downloads. These include hand-drawn PNG files, templates, and other resources designed to help make running a small business a little bit easier!
