I love Melissa! She leaves no details out of her items! Not only are my Batgirl arm warmers beautiful, but the packaging she sent them in was also a work of art! Melissa not only knits custom work quickly and skillfully, she can ship on a deadline! I love her! I would propose to her if prop 8 didn't pass in CA. What is a girl to do? Oh well I love! Will order again!

Awesome amazing job! Would definitely recommend for any custom work - really takes the time to explore all options and listen to what I wanted to make my "dream scarf"! Thanks so much :D

THE NUTSHELL (aka, My creativity surrounds your purchase!):

The word "Melange" applies to my items and to me; little pieces of somewhat unconnected things. May you find items here that appeal to your own collector's aesthetic!

I'm a medical professional who just finished lots of schooling. Part of how I coped with all that science stuff (and large amounts of studying) was by indulging my creative side. I now work for a non-profit organization that helps trauma victims worldwide www.survivorcorps.org

My items are influenced by countries I visit, the people I meet, nature around me, and stuff I read in books.

A couple of years ago, a roommate asked me to teach her to knit and that forced me to learn how (because it was one craft I didn't know). When I studied for my final, final, final exams, I discovered that I could knit and study/read at the same time. So, yes, I have certain scarves I associate with topics like heart attacks or flu!

THE GOLDEN NUT (aka How do you pay):

If you are new to Etsy, please create a profile to purchase items. This is not the same as a Paypal account.

Payment is requested as soon as you order. To avoid cancellation, PayPal payments must be received within three (3) days of your order.

Maryland State Residents:
I need to add 6% sales tax to your order. Please wait to pay until I have adjusted your invoice.

If shipping costs are less than those specified, I will refund you the difference.

THE NUTS (aka, What's in my creativity package?):

All fabric items will come with a photo sheet outlining care and content (if known) of the item, as well as a little bit about the inspiration behind the item. The backside will be a copy of one of my photographs (printed on an inkjet printer) that could be framed if you don't need the instructions.

Wrapping:
I handpaint/handcraft the packaging for each of my items to bring a special smile. I can customize this for a special occasion, including a gift card based on my photographs for no extra charge.

Photos:
These will be mailed in protective packaging, including corner protectors to insure the photo is not bent or crushed during mailing.

THE EMPTY SHELL (aka Returns):

If you are not satisfied with your item within fourteen (14) days of your purchase, I will accept a return in its ORIGINAL condition and packaging.
