About MelittaJackson

On Etsy since 2020

Its in the blood.

Melitta Jackson, College Graduate with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Art Studio Minoring in Art History, and certified as Museum Art and Gallery Practices: An artist, an Auntie, a Sister, a poet, Library Specialist, a chef, a gardener, midnight librarian at heart, a Yurok Tribal member and my daughter. She has been busy working, growing our food in the garden (I’m not much of a dirt person can’t stand bugs) reads enormous amounts of books monthly, draws nightly and will soon be a published illustrator. With that said I had a dream the other night that I could help her become a self-supporting Artist if she had the publicity. She’s definitely completed the works. Been in several Art Shows here on the north coast: The latest is an otter in the Otter Project. As well as doing a Mural in Henderson Center.

I am Marlette Grant-Jackson, HSU and ITEPP Graduate and long time Academic Advisor for ITEPP. I have been doing art for as long as I can remember. Everything from beading to making my Barbie's clothes (with the help of my Grandma B). I now work mostly with cultural regalia for our local ceremonies, but on occasion have a inspiration to do some Graphic (and sometimes pencil) art. I am the one making sure your prints and mugs get printed and mailed out to you.

Check our work out and let me know if you would like to have one in your office or home. As a 11 x 14 print or larger cloth print, a Large Canvas or as a Cup to hold your Coffee/tea (or jingle juice) each morning.
