Mellifera Yarns, opened in March 2013, are hand-dyed in small quantities in rich, saturated colours that look good enough to eat. As with most hand-dyed yarns no two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dyelots, but alternating skeins can help give your knitting a more uniform look. I hope you enjoy my yarns, and if you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to get in contact.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I try my best to take accurate photos and provide descriptions, but if you are truly unhappy with your yarn for any reason you may return them in their original condition for a full refund (excluding return postage). Refund will be provided once item is received. If you are unhappy with your yarn after winding or knitting please contact me to discuss the problem so we can reach a resolution.
Prices are set in GBP £, but will automatically be converted to your currency by Etsy. My preferred payment is by PayPal, but if you contact me prior to purchase separate arrangements (cheque, BACS) may be possible.
I aim to ship items within 2 business days of purchase, if there is a delay I will be sure to contact you. All post will be sent First Class, or Standard Air Mail via Royal Mail, with proof of postage. If you would like recorded shipping (an added cost) please contact me prior to purchase. International customers are responsible for any customs charges.
Additional policies and FAQs
I always aim to exhaust the dye in the pot, but some yarns may be prone to bleeding when soaked. If you are knitting high contrast stripes I recommend washing the yarn prior to knitting. To get a more uniform look with multiple skeins try alternating every other row, or alternating the last few inches before adding a new skein.

I love to hear any comments or criticisms you have of my yarn, labels, or shop, so please do not hesitate to contact me.
