My little bakery came about in the fall of 2010 with a craving for a treat and a need for some extra income. Being a single income family, I worry about $, and when I'm worried- I snack. Some marshmallows, a stick, some chocolate, and graham crackers were all I needed to feel better that day... And the next day too, because those babies were flying off the shelf- I had more business than I could shake a marshmallow on a stick at!

After being a stay at home mom for a few years, I had forgotten what it was like to work with my hands and create; it felt great! My customers were pleased and amazed--- And that my friend is why I continue on with this endeavor. I love making treats that are sweet and special for parties or for any occasion.

Looking back, baking has always been a part of my life. My mother and grandmother both loved to bake and shared their knowledge with me as a young child. I was home-schooled and as an elective my mother enrolled the two of us in Wilton Method classes- The other ladies looked at my mother strangely for bringing her 10 year old to the classes, but after a few weeks I was helping them with their buttercream roses. As I got older, I became very close with my aunt; she had been working in bakeries since she was in high school and was managing a bakery at a major market. She would take me to work at 3 AM and taught me volume baking... Recipes for 75 lbs of thumbprint cookies and how to use the scale, oven, and Hobart. I remember how wonderful she was every time I bake.
