From Class to Classy
In April of 2012 I took a Japanese bookbinding class from Cathy Shepard in Louisville, KY at the Preston Art Center. We learned how to make concertina books (accordion fold paper with hard covers) and side-stitched books. I took to the hobby like you wouldn't believe! I went home and started making books left and right.
One day I finished writing on the last page of a cheapie memo pad and went out to buy a new one. When I got home, I thought, "I could turn this into something beautiful AND useful." So I grabbed a couple of cover sheets from my stock pile and whipped up what is today a LeBeckish Memo Pad!
They were incredibly easy to make for me and I had friends who wanted them. So I decided to put the designs up for sale for anyone to have their own custom LeBeckish Memo Pad.
