About

Copper Meets Creativity

Here at Meraki Rame, we put our love and soul into every piece we create. We take pride in providing high-quality electroformed copper coupled with an ever expanding array of natural gemstones and other natural materials. We view our work as a symbiotic blend of nature and science. Through the magic of electrochemistry, we are granted the ability to grow copper onto the gifts our earth has provided to us, and create unique wearable art for our customers.

Frequently asked questions
What does Meraki Rame mean?

Meraki (mA-'rak-E) - To do something with soul, creativity, and love; to put the essence of yourself into your work.
Rame (rah-may)- The Italian word for "Copper".

How should I care for my copper jewelry?

Most of our jewelry is made with uncoated, pure copper, that will naturally age over time. This means that the copper will slowly darken. Getting your jewelry wet will speed up this process. Avoid showering with your jewelry. But, if it does get wet, just be sure to dry it off. You can always clean the copper with a metal cleaner, jewelry polish, or a polishing cloth (we recommend Sunshine cloths).

If the aging bothers you, please let me know, as some things can be coated to avoid tarnish. :)

How will copper affect my skin?

Copper jewelry may turn your skin green! This happens to some people, but not everyone. This is not dangerous, and can simply be washed off. Necklaces are less likely to have this affect. Rings that are worn daily will often stay shiny and leave less green on your skin. This is because the green on your skin is sometimes a result of the copper tarnish being cleaned by natural oils of our skin. This means that the more you wear your jewelry, the shinier it will stay! :)
