About

Create my original style since 2009

Mercato was founded in New York 2009, by Chika who was born in Japan.
Chika has degree and work experience in photography, had lived in Tokyo, Paris and Rouen in France.

Mercato started only one style of headscarf but now we have Summer headbands to winter hats, tote bags and etc..
Our head accessories are fresh, variant color and unique style, our tote bags and pouches are using Chika's original photography.

Since Mercato means “Market” in Italian, Mercato’s future will line up many different items but all items will have unity, such as design, color, artistic, hand craft and limited edition.
Mercato is growing more and more along with Chika’s nature inspiration.

    Chika moved to NY in 1998 from Japan. Studied and worked in photography till 2008. She started make head scarves in 2009 spring. After, she created very unique wool scarf type hats, wool headbands, flower ear warmers, she has now many repeaters.

Your item will be shipped once your payment is cleared on my account.

For the Custom order:
We will charge $5 to more for it . Depend on the order. We do not take customer's fabric. Custom order do not return, refund or exchange.

Your item(s)is shipped via USPS First class mail. We try to ship your order as soon as payment to be cleared, however, sometimes no stock and we have to make them, in this case it takes 2 or 3 business days. We do not ship during the weekend. Friday order possibly next monday shipment.

Shipping price is included postal and handling, especially for the international shipping, at least $1 of handling fee is included. Shipping price is not included insurance, tracking or expedite delivery.
Import duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping price. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office before your shopping

*If you would like to upgrade/change the shipping method to include them, please let me know before you order and we will try to accommodate.
If you request these extras after your order, we cannot honor them.
