I have always created work that was bright colorful and fun. In the past 2 years I have combined my love of painting and polymer clay to create my whimsical sculpted ornaments and figurines. I sculpt my pieces over glass and often use plain glass ornaments as my base but I'm always on the hunt for interesting glass containers, bottles, bulbs, etc. to use as a form for my work. Using glass as a base keeps the pieces light which is especially important for hanging pieces and Christmas ornaments. After sculpting, I paint and stain each piece with the highest quality of oil paints. Fingerprints, nicks, and other small marks add to the vintage "look" of my work. The imperfections are part of the unique charm of each piece.

I love creating the little accessories for my people ornaments and figurines. Making things like a brush for the artist ornament, blueprints for the architect ornament and painting tiny details like buttons and lipstick are my kinda fun! This past year I've done a number of custom orders including a judge with a powdered wig, a fisherman, architect, sea captain and a jester.

After testing the waters at a couple of local boutiques I began selling my sculptures at a gallery in Orange, California and at the Mango Tango gallery in the Virgin Islands. I still sell at boutiques and through word of mouth. I decided to sell on Etsy when I began getting requests from customers to be able to order and purchase online. I have sold my other painting work on eBay in the past, so although I'm new to Etsy, I've sold successfully online before and have a perfect feedback rating on eBay. I may be new to Etsy, but I know how to do business online!

I live in Southern California and I'm very blessed to have a completely supportive partner who encourages my creativity and is a constant cheerleader. I also have a small herd of cats. Kevin Bacon, our newest addition, is my feline assistant.
