Announcement   Welcome to Mermaid Sue's Studio!

ART MAKES A GREAT GIFT! I have 6x6 paintings from three 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenges. The paintings depict a range of places, from my home on Long Island, New York, to New Hampshire, and Maine and more. They are painted in a variety of mediums including watercolor, pastel and colored pencil (and combos too!).

As an artist I find it exciting to try out different ways of expressing my world - both the one in my head and the one I live in. I've been creating Christmas cards for more than 15 years. Many of them are available in my shop. My friends look forward to seeing what I've come up with every year.

The other BIG NEWS is that I can start doing SOME custom ceramic pieces again. The Pet Portraits are now available and other items may become available, though selection of pieces will be limited.
Please check out the ceramic pieces already painted and available. All are suitable for gift giving and are completely food, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe. Please check the Reduced SALE section for Christmas stock & items that aren't quite perfect but still perfectly functional.

The shop category Mermaid's Treasure Chest includes items from the my stash of vintage patterns, fabric from the 80s & 90s and books.

Please join me at twitter.com/susiemermaid
Please check out my facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/mermaidsuesstudio (copy & paste) and please "like"!

I have been featured on the website TheThreeTomatoes.com in the shopping section. Be sure to sign up for their e-newsletter. They are a terrific bunch of - well- tomatoes! :-)

Hope you enjoy my creations.

(All designs are © Susan Herbst and though I enjoy sharing them with you, I retain full ownership of the images themselves. I ask that you do not reproduce them for your own gain. Thank you for understanding.)

About

Artist and Mermaid Explores and Paints the World Around Her.

I'm an artist who wears many hats. I went to school for illustration but work as a graphic designer. I do logos, brochures, catalogues and illustrations. I've painted furniture, shoes, and clothing, as well as pottery and glass.

I started this shop as an outlet to sell my christmas cards - some of which are still available here! As time went by, I added ceramics (I worked in several paint-your-own-pottery shops). Later, when I re-explored fine art painting, I made those available here on Etsy as well.

Hope you enjoy my artwork and feel free to convo me with any questions.

Thanks!

Thanks for taking a look around my etsy shop. I make many different things including greeting cards and handpainted ceramics, handpainted shoes, and other items. All the ceramics are food-safe and lead-free, oven, dishwasher & microwave safe. If you have any questions feel free to contact me via etsy, or through email (susieq60@optonline.net). I am very prompt in answering emails.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
PayPal is preferred method of payment and expected at time of order.
Order will not be shipped until payment has been made.
Please pay within 48 hours of ordering or order will be cancelled and item relisted. I will send an email to remind you. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Shipping
I generally ship within 3 business days of receiving payment for your order. If you need it by a specific date, please let me know. Rush or overnight shipping will cost more than stated. Presently I am not shipping overseas. In some cases I will not be able to ship to a PO box. All pottery is packed with care. It is very important to me that your order arrives safely and swiftly. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Orders are shipped using UPS or USPS. In general, non-breakable items ship via first-class USPS. Larger orders and ceramics ship via UPS. If you have a preferred shipping method, please let me know at checkout.

Tracking (through UPS) or delivery confirmation (through USPS) is always used

Gift wrapping: Pottery needs to be carefully wrapped to be shipped. Double boxing and gift wrapping will incur an additional fee due to materials and extra weight and larger size of shipping box. I also have a very limited inventory of wrapping paper. Please contact me for additional info.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your purchase, please let me know! We will try and resolve it.

Buyer pays shipping costs on the return item and is responsible for its secure delivery back to me. Money will not be refunded until the item has been received by me.

Pottery Breakage: On the off-chance that there is breakage during shipping, I will refund your purchase or exchange it. Broken pottery must be photographed and/or returned.
Additional policies and FAQs
I LOVE to do custom orders for pottery (and other things). This can take 3-4 weeks to complete - though obviously I do try my best to work quickly.
Thanks for looking and please contact me with any questions.
