About

Creating something from nothing.

I have sketched, colored, painted, wrote, anything involving creativity since I can remember. When I was in middle school, I had an opportunity to work with clay in art class. I absolutely loved it! I actually worked on a project for myself during my lunch time even after my art class was over for the year. The only sad thing is that after I no longer had that teacher, I no longer had access to all the needed accessories for sculpting/baking clay.

I went back to drawing for a time, and eventually painting. I still paint portraits with acrylic paints and have been working on that craft for 6 years now. I do sometimes get burned out with painting and will take breaks to get my creative juices flowing again. It's kind of like writer's block, only for artists! During one of these times, I rediscovered my love for sculpting along with many oven bake polymer clays that didn't require a kiln!

I dove into mask-making head first trying out many materials and breaking the bank in the process. I found I had a knack for it though and have been alternating mask-making with painting for some time now.

I find it to be more exhilarating than painting for one reason. With painting you do create a picture on a blank canvas, and that is amazing, but it will only ever be on that canvas, hung on a wall perhaps. But making an object completely from scratch is a wonderful thing. Especially an object that will be worn on people's faces possibly to parties, weddings, or masquerades. These masks carry the hopes of living with them and once they've lived, perhaps then they can be hung on a wall, or displayed on a shelf. Sadly a painting really never gets to experience that.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
Refunds will be on a per item basis. If the item arrives damaged it will be because of the post office, and requests for refund should be directed to them if insurance was purchased. I do my best to make sure the paintings are wrapped carefully though, so it would be hard to imagine they'd get damaged unless the post office really beat the package up.

If the customer is not happy with the painting, they can send it back to me at their own expense, and so long as it returns to me undamaged and in salable condition, I will issue a full refund.
Payment
I accept credit cards, paypal, or money order. I will not ship until payment has been cleared ( usually 1-2 business days).
Shipping
I use USPS Priority mail to ship. You must request insurance as it is not included in the default shipping price.
