About

REVIVING: to restore from a depressed, inactive or unused state: bring back .

Reviving old metal, metal with history, finding ways to exhibit the metal’s unique character. I experiment comparing opposites to highlight unique characters of the metal. Sometimes contrasting found objects with whimsical vintage toys and creating alternative environments. Environs that explore the nostalgia of the past.

After majoring in Art History, I took a sculpture class at a local community college. We progressed through clay, plaster and metal. I instantly fell for metal. I entered my first student art show and was awarded first place. A nudge that allowed me permission to explore and chase expression. Several more classes in sculpture, welding and blacksmithing have followed.

My work ranges from large, kinetic, motorized sculptures, to small illuminated shadow boxes.

"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." - Pablo Picasso

I shipped smaller items via USPS Priority and heavier items via UPS. I try and choose the most economical, but safest method. Shipping prices includes shipping, insurance, delivery confirmation, handling time and material. I tend to be a bit obsessive about packaging securely. These pieces are small chunks of my soul and I want them to arrive safely.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
Please contact me with your address and I will quote the best economical/safest shipping option. Extra charges, such as Customs Fees, are the buyer’s responsibility.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not offer refunds, or exchanges, unless an item is damaged during shipping. Notify me as soon as possible and I will repair the item. Due to the nature of found object artwork, I cannot offer exchanges.
Additional policies and FAQs
NATURE OF MATERIALS USED:
Most of the metal used in my artwork is purposely left in natural, and organic, form. There may be chipping paint, jagged edges, weld spatter, etc. Although, many items contain toys, this artwork is not intended to be handled without care. Please keep in mind that a child may be attracted to the toy-like nature of the artwork.

PRICING:
Similar items may reflect pricing irregularities due to donated, found material versus purchased material. Some pieces are more time consuming than others, for a variety of reasons. For example, some found metal may be in rough shape and require additional time to remove layers of history, such as, concrete, tar, oxygenation, etc. I do my best to monitor and track my shop time, material and cost for each item.
