My name is Viacheslav, I’m a professional swimmer, and also I’m a true dreamer. Since my childhood, I have liked to be surrounded by beautiful things. I can easily spend my last money on customized clothes or room decoration.
After I had finished my swimming career, I began to dream about my own business. And once I shared these thoughts with my family, so that my brother-in-law convinced me to try and promised to help make my dream come true.
So we decided that the best we can give to the world, for now, is to create our own home decorations.
We are quite old-fashioned and really love printed books. We think they have some kind of special magic and reading them is a unique ritual. The process of opening, flipping through all the pages, and that incredible smell. That feeling when after reading you put your book on a special shelf, creating by that your own personal library…
So this is how we decided to create BookEnds.
It happened that my great grandfather was blacksmiths. So the craving to create something beautiful from iron turned out to be in our DNA. That is why the material was quite easy and obvious to choose from.
Here at Metal Home Lab, we like to help people with organizing their space and their books in a way that can bring them more pleasure and joy. So that they can feel just wonderful when they’re home.

The intricacies on the optic and barrel brake speak to the attention to detail and quality of the item. They are a little light for heavier books, but they have an option to screw into a surface if that's feasible for you. I'm happy to support a business in need during troubled times. будмо !!

How can I pay via my Card instead of PayPal?
You may be able to pay with a card via PayPal without a PayPal account. Here’s how:
1) Click Check out with PayPal and you’ll be redirected to PayPal. Instead of choosing to pay with your PayPal account, select Pay with Debit or Credit Card.
2) You'll be prompted to fill in your billing and credit card information.
3) Enter your email address so PayPal can send you a receipt.
4) Click Continue to return to Etsy. Your payment isn't sent until you click Submit order on Etsy.

If you want to have something special - gift wrap or a small note - just let us know.

Order Preparation
The time we need to prepare an order for shipping (delivery) is 1-5 business days. But usually we do everything possible to send your order ASAP.
Please NOTICE that we prepare and ship orders only on BUSINESS days from Monday to Friday, NOT including weekends. SO Saturday and Sunday don't count!
REMEMBER: production and shipping are 2 different processes. Each process has its own term.
Shipping Information
International shipping is unpredictable and delays happen at the customs. For international orders, once the package has left the Ukraine, it becomes a subject to your local post office.
Please double check your spelling on order details as I am not responsible for mistakes on order details supplied by the buyer such as spelling errors.
Postage and packing charges are not refundable unless it's due to an error on our part.
Shipping fees are non-refundable for refused or undelivered parcels.
Damage & Lost Parcel
We take full responsibility for our products, shipping, and delivery. In case of damage or loss during delivery we will send out a new product as soon as possible. We want you to be happy)
How can I return/exchange my order?
Personalized products can NOT be returned or exchanged due to the nature of these items. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs if the item will be exchanged. Exchange can NOT be proceeded, until we receive the original product in a good condition. In case of returning the product back to us, refund will be proceeded WHEN the product is received by us in a good condition.
I can't track my package?/Last update was week or more ago...?
Don't worry! When the package leaves Ukraine and is on the way to your country, tracking system doesn't show its location. It doesn't mean that package got lost, it means package was not scanned in your country yet.
Custom and personalized orders
Any of our products can be personalized by adding the name or initials to the product.
