5 out of 5 starsNot my first purchase here and won’t be my last. The quality of this ring is exceptional and John went to great lengths to make sure we had the size right before making it. I’m so picky about finish, and his jewelry is always flawless - you can tell he is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work. He’s also very responsive and lovely to work with. Love, love, love this shop!

5 out of 5 starsJohn’s work is gorgeous, he custom made both my and my fiancé’s rings based on one of his previous designs and we couldn’t be happier with them. He is a joy to work with and I can’t recommend him enough if you’re in the market for some unique, quality jewelry.

5 out of 5 starsI will definitely be a repeat customer at this shop! The meteorite pendant I ordered is just gorgeous, and incredibly well made. The artist really pays attention to the detail of the piece - it is perfect. It also came with a paper explaining the nature of the materials used to make the piece, including the origin/ID of the meteorite. I could not be happier!

5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely stunning. There was a really high bar to beat the first ring that John created for my husband, but he outdid himself. I am planning to save this one for a Christmas surprise - if I can contain myself that long! Thanks, John - it's perfect.

Most of my pieces are done using lost wax casting, though some combine elements of fabrication. In lost wax casting the original design is carved out of wax, a mold is made of the wax using a special type of high-temperature plaster, and the wax is burned out of the plaster mold in a kiln. The gold is then cast into the plaster mold using centrifugal force in a centrifugal casting machine. After the casting is broken out of the mold, the metal is filed, sanded, buffed and polished. One of the last steps is setting any stones or doing any inlay work. While the casting mold is destroyed, I do make silicon molds of some of my designs so I can reproduce them. Some designs are consistently the same each time they are duplicated, such as the bands and inlaid pieces, while most of the designs with faceted stones vary to a greater or lesser extent depending on the size and shapes of the stones used each time they are reproduced.
