About

A little background story....My life as a woodworker did not start with my grandfather giving me my first chainsaw for my 1st birthday…neither did I finish my first fruit bowl by the age of 4 in a rustic work shed. Instead, I’ve actually had a few very interesting safaris before. I was a cab driver, a chef, I’ve worked in a monkey conservation park and was contracted as a travel guide.

In my twenties, I’ve travelled a lot… Escaping from my cosy but overcrowded home country, The Netherlands, and like many travellers; in search of ‘something’. During one of those journeys in Australia, I lent a hand to a guesthouse owner constructing his tree-trunk bed and found from that day on my ‘something’! Working with wood…

I love the calm of working with this organic material. It reveals new aspects with every project… new characters, wood grains, fragrances and the demand for new skills. It is an intense & serene process… seeing a raw piece of wood transforming into my own ideas. Inspirations are never far in this beautiful environment …I’m living in France with my lovely wife on a hilltop, overlooking the stunning Pyrenees mountain range.

Returns and exchange details
Dear Customer,

For me, it's very important that you are pleased with your purchase.
If, for any reason, you are not are happy with your purchase after receiving it, please contact me and I will make sure we will resolve this inconvenience as soon as possible!

Please note, in case of a delay or problem with the delivery or a lost package because of a malfunction of the postal service, I'm asking you to be patient... thankfully, these things happen not very often but it's still possible. Please, allow to wait 2 months from the shipping date. If your package still didn't arrive by then, I will make you a full refund.
In the unlikely case that you, as a customer, provided me the wrong shipping address, I'll refund you the original purchase price MINUS the shipping fee as soon as the package arrived back to me.

I accept returns if you contact me within 14 days after having received your package. The order has to be shipped back within 21 days after you have received it. Please contact me before sending the item back, I would like to know the reason for your return. Refund will only take place after I've received your returned item(s). Please note, that you as a customer, are responsible for the return shipping fees.

Congratulations! Today, you've bought a truly unique and handmade little slice of happiness. You can be very positive about the fact that I've spend a lot of time, pleasure and dedication on this product. Therefore, it deserves a correct & reliable sending.
Below you can read how the item will find its way to your homestead;

Step 1
After I received your payment, the item will be made ready for sending within 1-2 days. I will ship your order to the address provided by the Etsy checkout unless specified otherwise. For your own good, please double check if you did provide the right & full address unless you wish your purchase to have a long round-the-world-trip.

Step2
When the item is ready to leave my workshop after kissing goodbye, I will send you through email the track & trace number in order to follow your priority package. All items shipped are of course packed with care and protected by the therefore suitable materials and products.

Step3
As soon as the mailman arrives with your long-expected item, please, show kind politeness by not literally throw yourself across his delivery truck, snatching your package out of his trunk and run off with it. She or he needs your signature to confirm me that you received your package in good order.
