I almost dropped the rating to 4 stars due to the “bark” that doesn’t look like bark. I have about 50 oak trees on my property and found and made my own. I wanted it to be self explanatory. If I didn’t have access to an alternative, I would have tossed the original “bark”, rendering the walking stick “barkless”, which I considered an amusing feature.

A gift for my father in law’s 88th birthday. Traditionally a cane with pigeon is given, but there is a family connection to ducks, so this was the absolute perfect gift! Well made and we will be proud to give it to him!

My hiking stick is great! Being a dog lover, the little dog on top is perfect and a conversation piece.

The Hiking stick is really beautifully well made. I especially laughed at the accompanying attached note. My family calls the stick "Rescue Dog" along with our real rescue Rat Terrier.
