It's about the details....
Come let your imagination & whimsy wander through my door!
I've made miniatures since I was little myself, starting with a general store, which could fit anything I collected or made! I also created a bakery and made food to go in it, and then created a colonial bedroom from handmade furniture (some from kits, some from plans). All it takes is a little imagination, patience, skill and determination to make one's visions into reality.
All one needs is a space on a shelf or a small box to start collecting miniatures and creating a setting that makes you smile every time you pass by. Build upon that, and before you know it, you have a whole house or town! Some people make Fairy gardens, others make Victorian palaces… where will your imagination take you?
I was brought up to use my hands to create things around me, to do it if it needed to be done, learning as I go! I have worked in the arts over the years, for a local pottery, in woodworking and with needlework and love history. My passion for the fiber arts and textiles began at a very early age, eventually leading to an MS in Textiles and jobs in museums. I became a full-time weaver about 15 years ago, preferring a hands-on approach to my craft. When refurbishing a dollhouse for my nieces and nephews, I decided that I could make many of the textiles myself, weaving the rugs, building the furniture, among other things….

I believe every house should have unique quality handmade items. Miniatures are a quirk of the imagination, too! Each of my pieces is one-of-a-kind or limited editions made individually. Variations in color, textures, and patterns are part of the natural characteristics of the materials and processes. (& quirks are sometimes natural characteristics of the artist, as well!)
I hope you will be satisfied with the items you purchase for years to come! Please let me know if you have any questions, convo/email me before purchase if you are unsure about a product. I stand by my items for many years of use! I try to keep exchanges to a minimum, but mistakes do happen and sometimes details of items are not noticed before purchase.
Additional Payment Options
I also can arrange Layaway Payment schedules for some items if that is more convenient. I understand that while some of my items may seem expensive for initial outlay, they are also an investment in quality goods that will continue to give years of practical use and aesthetic pleasure. Please contact me if you would like more information on this option.
Shipping
Generally items ship within 2-3 business days after payment by USPS, unless noted. Shipping & handling costs account for materials and time, as well as postage. Items purchased together will have separate shipping costs unless otherwise noted. Variables of shape, size, weight and value make it difficult and time consuming to have a numerous pricing scale and are reasons behind this standardized method used by many businesses. Rates may change without prior notice.
Contact me if you are interested in arranging an international purchase so I can calculate fees, if I have not already. International customers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping & purchasing to their respective countries.
