I've always been kind of a goofy kid/adult! I believe life should be fun. So kind of makes sense I own a large candy store! It's always been my dream to be self employed. When I met my husband in 2003 he had his own business and with his help, I started my journey to fulfilling my dream.

I've collected candy dispensers for 17 years now and I ran a very small gift basket service many years ago. I found selling candy to be a real joy! But I lost that business to a fire way back in 1994. I never thought that I would own a large candy store and make chocolates to boot!

When I met my husband I just began my passion for scrapbooking. So I opened up a small scrapbook store. I had the shop from 2004 to 2011. It grew slowly but the recession is what brought it to it's end. Originally I opened up the shop in a building behind my house. In 2007 we built a new building on the property where we have a Uhaul business and self storage. I moved the business to this new location in 2007 and we decided to add a candy store. Yeah, I know, kind of strange but cool at the same time. So with all the scrapbook supplies we had 4 candy cases of chocolates, jelly beans, gummies and more.

When the scrapbook store began to not do so well during the recession, the one thing we noticed was the candy stayed steady. So in a bold move in 2011 I convinced my husband to turn the shop in to all candy. We are now the largest candy store in Vermont!

Also in 2011, my husband suggested I try making candy. I thought "I could do that!" I am a totally self taught chocolatier. I've taken many seminars and have gone online to learn what I could about the craft. I discovered very quickly that I have found my calling. I absolutely love being a chocolatier!

Since 2011 I have added many new candies to my repertoire! I now make molded chocolate, chocolate creams, peanut butter cups, handmade caramels, almond butter toffee, many delicious brittles and so much more!

The best part of my job is I make people smile everyday! So indulge, enjoy and keep it fun!
