Mi è sempre piaciuto essere creativo e dare vita alle idee. I primi oggetti di scena che ho creato erano per una festa di Halloween a cui alcuni amici e io partecipavo durante gli anni del liceo. Abbiamo deciso di creare costumi basati sulla serie originale di Star Trek. Ho creato un tricorder da un vecchio registratore, colla a caldo e cartone e phaser da ugelli per tubi da giardino. Non erano gli oggetti di scena più puliti, o i più impressionanti, ma ci hanno aiutato a vincere il primo posto nel concorso di costumi! La creazione di questi oggetti di scena è stato un punto di svolta per me. Mi ha ispirato a saperne di più sul design e alla fine mi ha portato lungo il percorso per studiare ingegneria al college. Tuttavia, nel corso degli anni non ho davvero creato nuovi oggetti di scena. È stato solo quando mio nipote è stato introdotto ai Pokémon che ho deciso di cimentarmi di nuovo. Si è innamorato dei Pokémon e poteva parlarti di ogni Pokémon da 1 a.... qualunque sia il numero, ora sono uno! Decisi che gli avrei fatto una Poke ball dettagliata. L'ho progettato in un software CAD e l'ho stampato sulla mia stampante 3D. Dopo molte levigature e tentativi ed errori nella creazione di uno stampo, avevo raggiunto il mio obiettivo. Il processo creativo è stato uno spasso e mi sono divertito. La vera ricompensa è stata vedere quanto mio nipote amasse il suo nuovo giocattolo. È una sensazione così grande vedere qualcosa che crei portare gioia a qualcun altro. Volevo mantenere questa sensazione, così ho deciso di aprire il mio negozio Etsy per condividere ciò che creo con il mondo. Etsy mi ha fornito uno sbocco straordinario per la mia creatività e un mezzo per sostenere i miei hobby. Non vedo l'ora di progettare e portare a compimento nuove idee e prodotti in modo che possano portarti tanta gioia quanto io li ho creati.
I've always enjoyed being creative and bringing ideas to life. The first props I created were for a Halloween party a few friends and I were attending during my high school years. We decided to create costumes based on the original Star Trek series. I created a tricorder from an old tape recorder, hot glue and cardboard and phasers from garden hose nozzles. They were not the cleanest props, or the most impressive, but they helped us win first place in the costume contest! Creating these props was a turning point for me. It inspired me to learn more about design and eventually lead me down the path to studying engineering in college. However, over the years I really didn't create any new props. It wasn't until my nephew was introduced to Pokémon that I decided to try my hand at it again. He fell in love with Pokémon and could tell you about every Pokémon from 1 to.... whatever number they're one now! I decided I would make him a detailed Poke ball. I designed it in CAD software and printed it on my 3D printer. After much sanding, and trial and error creating a mold, I had achieved my goal. The creative process was a blast and I enjoyed myself. The true reward was to see how much my nephew loved his new toy. It’s such a great feeling to see something you create bring joy to someone else. I wanted to keep this feeling going, so i decided to open my own Etsy shop to share what I create with the world. Etsy has provided me with an amazing outlet for my creativity as well as a means to support my hobbies. I look forward to designing and bringing new ideas and products to fruition so that they can bring you as much joy as I have creating them.
