Announcement   Millie & Me is on vacation to handle some life issues and a move to a new city. The shop will be back up and running as soon as I get my studio unpacked (late July or early August), at which point I'll be offering both custom pieces and DIY kits. Read on to find out more about the process:

HOW IT WORKS AND WHAT'S INCLUDED: You send me your image (see how-to below), and I preserve it under resin in the setting of your choice. Some MINOR photo editing is included (changing to black & white or sepiatone, adjusting exposure & contrast for best visibility in a small setting); however, if I have to do extensive re-touching or create additional background in order to make it fit the setting, there will be an additional charge. Please note custom orders take approximately two weeks to create (plus shipping time), and you must have the rights to the image -- I won't knowingly infringe on copyrights.

HOW TO SEND YOUR IMAGE: The easiest way is to use Etsy messages -- from my shop's home page (https://www.etsy.com/shop/MillieAndMe1), look for my picture in the left column and click "contact the shop owner" underneath. If you're looking at a listing already, just click "ask a question" over to the right. Once your Etsy message text box opens up, click "attach image" on the bottom-right corner. If none of these options are available to you, you can email the image to MillieAndMe [!at] zoho.com; however, my response times for email are slower. Please note custom orders take approximately two weeks to create (plus shipping time), and you must have the rights to the image -- I won't knowingly infringe on copyrights.

GIFTS: If you would like me to mail your purchase directly to a gift recipient and include a message from you, just send me the details.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I do ship worldwide, to any legal location. I don't have every country listed in my shipping prices, because the prices vary so widely. If you don't see your country listed, just send me a message with your address and I'll be happy to get a shipping estimate for your location. International customers are responsible for any VAT, customs, or other fees imposed by their country. If a non-custom item is returned due to failure to pay those fees, I will refund the item purchase price, but shipping costs will not be refunded (custom items are not refundable).

I was so excited when I received my order! I couldn't be more happier with the DIY Bouquet Charm. My sister (the Bride) was beyond happy about it too! A little mishap with the shipping but was contacted right away and it was taken care of! Customer service was awesome! Will be ordering from again!

Millie & Me -- handcrafted custom jewelry & other treasures

It seems like I've always been making jewelry in one form or another, but Millie & Me was inspired by my first efforts at pieces using family photographs -- that photo in my logo, of a young Millie wrapped in the arms of her soulmate, was my first portrait piece. Millie & Me has grown to an extensive collection of custom photo jewelry options ranging from necklaces and brooches to cuff links and wedding bouquet charms.

I enjoy the stories that come along with the photos for my custom orders -- welcoming new babies, celebrating life events, honoring ancestors, and helping people keep departed loved ones close to their hearts. When a bride or groom sends me one of their wedding photos featuring my cuff links or bridal bouquet charms, I'm reminded how much those photographs mean to them, and I'm happy to have played a small part in that. If you're shy about having your picture taken, please don't let that stop you -- someday, someone is going to treasure the photos that are all they have left. After seeing how much a single, out-of-focus, water-damaged snapshot can mean because it's the only photo the family has, I've been much better about getting in front of the camera with my daughters!

Please note that if you use e-checks through PayPal (paying from your bank account instead of a credit card), the payment takes about 3-5 days to clear. If you would like your item shipped faster, be sure PayPal uses your credit card, as credit card payments post much more quickly. If your PayPal account is linked to your bank account, you can still use PayPal without signing into your PayPal account -- just check out as a guest (even if it reminds you you already have an account).

Custom orders may not be canceled once I have begun work on them. At that point, I have already invested time and materials that cannot be recovered. If you choose to cancel a custom order after I have begun work on it, I will refund the shipping portion of your payment only.

Please ensure the shipping address is correct. If your PayPal address and Etsy address are different, let me know which one you want to use. My default is the Etsy address. If this is a gift going to a different address, let me know in the "message to seller" comment and/or send me an Etsy conversation.

Standard shipping is USPS First Class, with tracking in the US (international tracking not available). Upgrades to Priority or Express are available. Shipping costs are not refundable.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: If your country isn't listed, please contact me and I'll get an estimate. Please note that international buyers are responsible for any customs, duties or other fees associated with importing items into their countries.
Refunds and Exchanges
Your satisfaction is very important to me. I don't ship anything I wouldn't purchase myself, but if you aren't happy with your purchase, please notify me within 3 days and we'll work out a solution together. For returns, the buyer is responsible for shipping. Once I receive the item, the purchase price will be refunded via PayPal.

Custom orders are not refundable.
