This was a quick and easy pattern. Everything I needed was in the kit, including a wooden hoop to frame it. The instructions were good.

About

Stitch by stitch...

It all started with a little stitched heart made on an airplane trip from New York to California. I had no gift for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, so during that five hour flight I embroidered their names, Helen and Lito, into an arrow pierced heart. My grandmother always preferred a handmade gift and treasured them; cards were all kept in boxes, notes on the fridge, my lopsided birdhouses hung in the backyard, and my heart nestled among her saint figurines and reliquaries.

On a whim, I shared this piece in my shop and received a great response. Since then I've been stitching up custom pieces for weddings, anniversaries, new babies, birthdays, and just because. Everyday, just about, you can find me stitching in my Brooklyn studio (aka the spare bedroom). Now, I teach embroidery classes and share fun, easy kits in my shop too.

If I'm not stitching, I'm up to some creative endeavor or another. I also make stationery, books, and dabble in all sorts of media. Making excites me, and being able to share the things I make with you is a great gift.

Brooklyn Community Services employs adults with disabilities to assemble products. We worked together to produce my Floral Monogram and Mini Alphabet Kits.

When I need larger batches of my original patterns printed I work with a local printer to screen print my kits.

  • Fabric Printing

    Durham, NC

My original designs are printed using natural fabrics with eco friendly, water based inks. No added chemicals in the printing or preparation process.

Frequently asked questions

I don't see the letter I want in your Monogram Kits. Can you make me a custom kit?

Sorry! But for right now I only have ten letters A, C, D, E, J, K, L, M, R, S. I'm planning on making the other letters available as PDF downloads. Always happy to hear you'd like a kit, but not sure when I'll have them available.

When do you ship orders?

I ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. During the holidays I'm working to get orders out regularly.

5/21-27 I’m on vacation (yay!). Convos & orders placed will be answered as soon as possible & orders will ship by 5/28-29th depending on my work load. Thanks for your patience.

When will my package arrive? Seems like the package is lost?

You can track your package under "Purchases and Reviews". To the right of the item purchased click "Track Package". It may take a day for your package to be scanned into the system after postage is purchased. After delivering your package to the post office your package is now in the hands of USPS. I'll do my best to help you locate your package. If it seems it has been lost in the mail I'll confirm your mailing address and submit a Search Request with USPS-
https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm.

Wholesale availability

Yes, I do sell wholesale. You are welcome to buy through Etsy Wholesale or contact me at miniaturerhino [at] gmail [dot] com for a line sheet.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I'm happy to gift wrap and handwrite a gift message on a cute postcard. At checkout you have the option to add gift wrap ($4) and leave a gift message. I carefully wrap your gift in indigo blue tissue paper tied up with red and white twine. Your gift note is then tucked into the twine. It's ready for gifting when you receive it or will impress your recipient if you send directly to them.

Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Standard mail is First class mail. For faster delivery order Priority Mail.
- First-Class Mail (3-5 business days) order by Dec. 18.
- Priority Mail (2-3 business days) order by Dec. 19
I can't guarantee delivery once the package is in the hands of USPS but ordering by these dates is the best bet for getting your package on time.
