New fabric! We had this printed for the shop. It is a very strong combination, of teal and gold. Not for everyone, but it will definitely have a place in a bright, modern nursery somewhere! My baby sister has already laid claim to one.
We've enlisted the help of a vintage Bereguer (weighted!) baby doll. The perfect model, we had fun posing it. Here we modeled a boy outfit, but she is exceptional in baby girl clothes ♡♡♡
We are introducing a new set of 'coming home' garments for newborns, personalized and appliqued, so sweet.

About

About Us

Our 'story' is below. When we decided to live solely off our income from our Etsy business, we knew we needed to drastically cut expenses. We found a 'shed' on Craigslist, it became our home for the next 4 years. If you are determined, you do what you have to do. For us, this was the answer to freedom. If you want to see our tiny 400 foot house, click on the first link. Karen Brown, a writer for the Etsy blog, did a nice write-up about our house and business, you can find it on the second link below. We do not live in the tiny house any more - it was what enabled us to live on our tiny wages as we built our business. We now live in a 540 square foot mansion!

Our next family goal was to create a business and lifestyle that would allow us freedom to travel and volunteer. Not owning a traditional home, and living a very simple lifestyle has given us opportunities to work from some most amazing places. Thanks to our simple lifestyle, we now often travel. Our part of the work involves sample making, photography, creating new designs and listings, communication with customers, processing the orders, preparing the shipping labels and packing slips, and digitizing the embroidery every day. Since much of this is 'digital', we have been able to work from the Galapagos Islands, the border of Brazil and Bolivia, Ecuador, the Philippines, and Taiwan. Next up.....China! None of this would have been possible without trustworthy and diligent workers like we have, you can read about them in the shop profiles section. We also need good internet....and Dropbox......and Google Drive, and Magic Jack! We have the world's best suppliers also - with an email or a phone call they get it done.

A huge Thank You to our Etsy customers for making our life possible!

Shop members

  • Gary, Debra and Max Jordan

    Owner

Our shop is family owned and operated. In the morning we have fuzz in our coffee, so I guess you could say it is in our veins!

  • Gary Jordan

    Customer Service, Marketer

We enjoy working together, and my two men are very secure in their masculinity, they can spot a 'cute' pattern from a mile away. Gary keeps the shop running with the myriads of loose ends he keeps track of.

  • Debra Jordan

    Designer, Maker, Photographer

Assistant, paperwork filer, janitor, supply orderer, photograph editor, listings editor, customer service, fire putter outer. My most favorite job is designer, but there is a lot of non glorious grit that goes into keeping the shop running.

  • Max Jordan

    Embroidery Digitizer, Assistant, Shipper

Max is chief digitizer - he is the one who prepares the digital embroidery files for your blanket. He will make sure the kerning is correct between each letter - and that the colors will match perfectly. Soon to come - appliques!

  • Joliett Santiago

    Seamstress, Shipper

Joliett is the ruffle queen. They are very difficult to sew - anyone who has ever sewn minky knows how laborious it can be - like trying to stitch together two clouds! Then try sandwiching a slippery piece of silky satin, no one does it like her!

  • Joshua Orvis

    Embroidery Technician

We love Josh! Also a perfectionist, he has named all our machines - Grandpa, the oldest and most cantankerous, Brother, and Happy. He has learned to identify problems before they occur - being able to HEAR the machines, he understand their moods.

  • Dustin and Thania Garza

    IT Specialists

Dustin and Thania manage our inventory and Etsy site. Having hundreds of listings is very time consuming, they have helped to organize the chaos in my head (Debra's). They have developed helpful tools and apps to make things run smoother!

Frequently asked questions
How to personalize your order

It is easy!

1) Choose the size from the drop down menu on each listing. There are THREE sizes, and FOUR embroidery options (no name, one name, two names, three names, you can substitute a birthdate for a name).

2) Choose the size and embroidery option you want.

3) Put the item in your cart.

4) Go to your cart to check out, there will be a 'note to seller' box. In the 'note to seller' box leave the name, font choice (see listing photos for choices) and thread color (our thread color match all fabrics in the shop, just choose from the fabrics in the shop). Of no embroidery font or thread is chosen, we will embroider it as shown in the sample provided.

What is your turnaround time?

2-3 WORKDAYS. Every single order placed is made from scratch, completely custom. That said, this time-frame begins after your order is placed, payment is received and ALL of the required information (fabric choices, personalization info, etc.) is received. Note: This does not include shipping time...please allow an additional 2-4 days for Priority Mail within the U.S. International shipping times vary from 2-10 weeks (all shipping times are completely and totally out of my control).

Can you include a gift note?

Yes! Just include your words in the note to seller box, we will add a card to your order. If you put these in a convo INSTEAD of the note to seller box they may not be included in your gift. Please do as we ask, put them with the order notes. We cannot guarantee a card otherwise.

Do you offer gift wrap?

We do not. We are fast and streamlined, you will have your order within a week. It will come tied with a bow and wrapped in a bag for security, and ready for gift giving.

Can I customize fabric choices?

Yes, feel free to create your own blanket from any fabric found in our store, no extra charge, or extra lead time. A custom blanket will be finished as quickly as a stock item. Some of our most beautiful blankets have been customer creations! Even if you want a fabric we do not carry, contact us to see if we might be interested in carrying it.

Can I add a ruffle to my blanket?

Sure! The ruffles add a small cost, but you can use these listings to add ruffles to your non ruffled blanket, please choose your ruffle according to the size blanket you are purchasing: https://goo.gl/JcyTBF

Similarly, if you find a ruffled blanket you want without a ruffle, convo us, we will send a link. NOTE: the non ruffled blankets are smaller than the ruffled blankets. All our fabrics are pre-cut, we cannot make them larger.
