At the first stage of human development jewelry was unique requisite of its spirituale harmony and expression of subjective beauty. Initially this was different types of stones and parts of animal bone, but in today’s reality it has no borders.
Hello, my name is Miranda Tsertsvadze and I am an heir of the art which has the unique cultural value and is called Georgian cloisonne enamel. Cloisone enamel is one of the most valuable achievement of Georgia’s diverse culture. It has a centuries-old history. The oldest historical monuments show that in the 8th century it was reached the highest level of development in Georgia. The technological means have changed and developed with time, while the traditional method of manufacturing is the same. This is the art of metal and glass merging, which process of creation is quiet laborious, because all the details require processing with hand. It is traditionally placed on the surface of gold, silver or copper. At first, the silhoutte is drawn with thin thread of desired metal which is later colored with special colored powder and burns at 800 degrees Celsius in several stages. After that, it is processed by gold master.
My first steps in art are directly related to my first steps, because i was born in the artist’s family and from the first day of recognizing the universe, it became my integral part. In 2010 I graduated the Academy of Fine Arts with reconstruction of paintings specialty. When i was a student I accidentally saw the cloisonne enamel item and got interested in it. Find out all kinds of information on the technology of manufacturing and I started fundamentally studying. As a result of many years of work and experience I was able to open my own workshop where high quality cloisonne enamel items were created with new technologies and old traditions.
This activity is a worthy continuation of the ancient heritage which is called Georgian cloisonne enamel. Each item is a unique relic.
