Cleveland's premiere boutique for one-of-a-kind restored and redesigned vintage wedding gowns and party dresses as well as unique vintage accessories.

LOVE OF SEWING, PASSION FOR VINTAGE
Miranda Park, owner and founder of Miranda's Vintage Bridal and Alterations, has over ten years experience in the bridal industry working as the lead seamstress for a Cleveland-area boutique before deciding to venture out on her own. She is an award-winning graduate of the Kent State Fashion School with a bachelor's degree in fine and professional arts, majoring in fashion design.

Miranda developed a love of sewing at a very early age. From the moment she saw the little mice sewing Cinderella's ball gown, she was hooked. She learned basic sewing skills from her mother, who made beautiful little dolls for art shows. Miranda took great enjoyment helping her mother and soon she was making things on her own. She started off small, with Barbie doll clothes and hair scrunches. As she grew, so did her sewing skills and passion for design.

In addition to sewing, Miranda has also always had a love of all things vintage. This passion was instilled in her at an early age, traveling to auctions with her grandmother who owned an antique store. She often recalls visiting with her grandmother at her store, dreaming to have a store of her own someday.

Her love of vintage grew to a love of vintage fashion as she immersed herself in the world of classic film. This passion grew deeper with every classic movie she watched. How many elementary school children could sit through "Gone with the Wind" over and over again? She finds inspiration in those old classic movies and the timeless beauties who star in them.

It is the combination of the love of sewing and the passion for vintage fashion that sparked the creation of Miranda's Vintage Bridal and drives her to bring gowns with a quality of timeless beauty and elegance to her customers.

FAQs ABOUT OUR VINTAGE BRIDAL GOWNS

1. WHAT DOES VINTAGE MEAN?
--All of our gowns are TRUE vintage, meaning they are at least 25 years old. Some of our gowns are also considered antiques, meaning they are at least 40 years old. Our bridal gowns range from the eras of the early 1900s to the early 1980s.

2. CAN YOU DO ALTERATIONS TO THE DRESS FOR ME BEFORE YOU SHIP IT OUT?
--We do not provide alterations to gowns before shipping them out. If you need alterations done, the buyer will be responsible to find a seamstress where they live to have the gown altered.
--If you are willing to travel to our location in Cleveland, OH, for three fittings, we will be able to accommodate you and alter your gown to fit!

3. SHOULD I DRY CLEAN MY NEW VINTAGE GOWN?
*Some of our gowns have already been dry cleaned. If this is the case, it will be disclosed in the listing.
--WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DRY CLEANING YOUR VINTAGE GOWN IF:
-------YOU LOVE THE COLOR: Dry cleaning often brightens the color of gown after it has been cleaned. If a dress has multiple types of fabric and lace, they may brighten and clean differently. More often than not, a vintage gown will come back a brighter color after being cleaned.
-------YOU ALREADY HAD ALTERATIONS DONE TO THE GOWN, OR THE GOWN FITS YOU THE WAY YOU WANT: If you have decided to get alterations done to your gown, or it fits you the way you want, do not have it dry cleaned before you wear it for your big day. Dry cleaning can change the fabric and may change the way it fits.
-------THE GOWN IS MADE FROM SILK FABRIC: Dry cleaning can change the properties of silk fabric and we try to avoid dry cleaning our silk dresses at all cost.
--WE DO RECOMMEND CLEANING YOUR VINTAGE GOWN IF:
-------YOU HAVE ALREADY WORN THE DRESS FOR YOUR BIG DAY AND YOU WANT TO KEEP IT: After you have worn your dress for your big day and want to keep it in good condition, dry cleaning is a good option. However, dry cleaning can change the color of the gown, cause damage, and change the fabric's properties of your dress. Dry cleaning a vintage gown is always a risk.
-------YOU WANT TO HAVE IT CLEANED BEFORE YOU START YOUR ALTERATIONS: This is a perfect time to dry clean your gown if you want it cleaned. However, dry cleaning can change the color of the gown, cause damage, and change the fabric's properties and fit of your dress. Dry cleaning a vintage gown is always a risk.

4. WHAT IF I LOVE A DRESS, BUT IT IS NOT MY SIZE?
--IF THE GOWN IS TOO LARGE: No worries! If you are able to find a local seamstress who can help you with alterations, they should be able to take in the gown to fit you.
--IF THE GOWN IS TOO SMALL: Depending on the size difference between your measurements and the gown, there may be enough to let out in the inner seam allowances. There also may be enough extra fabric a local seamstress could take from the sleeves, hem, or train to put panels in the sides of the gown, in order to fit the gown to you. If there is not enough fabric to create panels, there are other ways another seamstress may be able to help you. However, putting in side panels is the best way we recommend to alter the gown to go up a size or two.
