Eco-friendly Art and Jewelry inspired by the tropics and the sea.

Hey there you beautiful being!

My name is Miriam and I still remember the first time I was able to stand up on my surfboard for the first time. The magnificent feeling of uniting with the ocean in a playful dance of freedom. "Stoked" they called it and there I was - stoked. Being landlocked in Germany for the majority of my time, I have developed a yearning for the ocean, far away places, the tropics in particular. My art and craft are expressions of this "Fernweh".

Sustainability and the preservation of our beautiful planet matters to me. From my product sourcing to shipping I have in-depth researched and found the most sustainable, eco-friendly and ethical options for you.
For every sale made in this shop, I will plant a tree via Plant for the Planet to help giving our little ones the opportunity to also live their dream in a still functional environment.

If you have any questions or wishes, feel free to reach out to me any time. I speak English 🇺🇸 and German 🇩🇪, as well as some Spanish 🇪🇸.

My art is looking forward to be send to you as a unique gift for surfer friends, a lovely gift for nature lovers, a tropical housewarming gift or simply unique wall art that you will fall in love with every day.

A smile,

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the fine art papers?

We generally print our art reproductions on the following paper:

Photo Poster: matte 140 gsm paper. This is a very lightweight and thin, however very good quality photo paper.

Poster: smooth 230 gsm fine art paper. Although it's called "poster" it is an actual a fine art print due to its weight and high quality print results.

Fine Art Print: 270 gsm textured fine art paper. The best among the three papers! The prints are indistinguishable from the original. These prints come signed by the artist.

How sustainable is the packing?

Instead of plastic sleeves I use recyclable glassine paper sleeves and reuse silk paper that came with my print orders. In that way, I try to be as sustainable as possible. For the aesthetics of your order, I seal every sleeve/wrapping with a pretty and minimalistic logo sticker made from recycled paper. The sturdy cardboard shipping envelopes are also made from recycled paper. Furthermore, my "Thank You" note is made of recycled cardboard.
Our jewelry currently comes in eco bubble wrap mailers which are half plastic, half recycled paper. Just reuse it or tear the layers apart and recycle. Our jewelry boxes are eco-friendly and super pretty too!

Care instructions

Jewelry: Avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom or humid environments since humidity may cause them to tarnish. To store your piece, we recommend wrapping each piece in soft fabric and store in an airtight bag.
Some materials can oxidize in combination with skin oils. Therefore, please remove your jewelry for sports, washing your hands, before going to sleep or applying hand lotion and avoid contact with perfume in order to keep it beautiful up to decades.
Brass can easily regain its shine by rubbing it with an old toothbrush with some toothpaste. Remove the paste with a bit of water and pad dry - and shine again!

Shirts: Wash cold and with similar colors. Iron cool and inside out to preserve the beautiful prints.

Proof of both reports must be provided to us before a replacement will be sent out.

What is gold vermeil?

Gold vermeil is a higher quality of gold plating. Regular gold plating is done on lower value metal such as copper or brass. Gold vermeil is done on sterling silver - in our shop we use recycled silver, hence each vermeil item has a "925" stamp. Furthermore, gold plating is up to 2 microns thickness whereas gold vermeil starts at 2.5. Therefore, gold vermeil, if cared for properly, will last many years.
