5 out of 5 starsThis print exceeded my expectations. It took a little while longer than the seller expected due to shipping times from the lab. However, the colors were unbelievable. This was a birthday present for my brother who is a physical therapist. He was speechless. It was WELL worth the wait. I will be ordering another print. I love so many of the pieces in her collection. 💗

5 out of 5 starsGorgeous! Perfect mid-century abstract piece for my NYC apartment. Hard to tell it’s a reproduction. This piece would look amazing in an even larger size; just wish I had wall space. Thanks for the fast shipping!

Alabama artist Miriam McClung has been painting professionally for over seven decades. Her Etsy store is a place where faithful, exact, high quality reproductions of many of her most popular art can be purchased and enjoyed at a fraction of the price of an original. While reproductions are not original works of art, they are museum quality giclée printed with pigmented inks that with the proper care will last decades.

MAKING THE REPRODUCTIONS
It all starts with superb art, then it comes down to accurate photographic representation of the work. All artwork in the store is photographed with a Pentax K-1 35mm full frame SLR with a 50mm fixed lens to minimize distortion in a controlled lighting environment with 5500K daylight LEDs to render colors with optimal precision and accuracy. The image is then processed in Adobe Lightroom, adjusted and color corrected.
The image file is provided to our printer who uses a giclée printing process to reproduce the artwork with superior clarity and color. Giclée is a French word used to describe the high quality, high resolution, fade resistant, archival inkjet printing process that is used for all Miriam McClung artwork reproductions on canvas.
A giclée print is a digital inkjet print. It is made using a combination of pigmented inks and archival substrates (paper/canvas). The inkjet printer literally blends the colored inks as it prints to produce seamless, highly detailed prints of stunning color and detail. A giclée should not fade for a minimum of eighty years!
We wouldn't trust just anyone to accurately reproduce and ship Miriam's art. We partner with professional museum printer Picture Salon (picturesalon.com) located in Madison, Wisconsin to print and ship all of Miriam's giclées directly to you. Each reproduction is carefully stretched on a poly-cotton, matte finish canvas on a 1.5″ wood stretcher, and gallery wrapped with printed mirrored edges. There is a wood bar across the back of the larger prints to prevent warping. The reproduction is not framed, but with gallery wrapped mirrored edges, you can hang the work as is and it will look great without framing.

Frequently asked questions
Do you frame the artwork?
No, we do not frame artwork. That is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Why does my reproduction look different than the image I see on my computer?
When viewing these images indoors in a web browser, artwork is likely to appear more saturated and vivid than if you viewed them in person.
The image your device displays may not be accurate for several reasons:
- Your monitor or device isn’t professionally color calibrated.
- Your screen viewing conditions impact color accuracy (outside vs. inside, florescent vs. LEDs, etc.).
- Your browser displays inaccurate color.
To ensure that you have the most accurate display of the image:
- View the image with a color calibrated monitor.
- View the image indoors with the lights off in the room.
- View the image in Firefox with color management enabled.
If you are concerned with color accuracy of a work contact us.
