Frequently asked questions
Can your store build custom mirrors?
Yes, in general we can create custom sizes and shapes. These mirrors do have some limitations. Before we can quote any custom mirrors, you will need to provide at least dimensions and some image that explains the "look" you are after.
If you have a custom idea, it's best to send us a message so that we can see if it is feasible.
Size, shape, and color for custom mirrors
For size, we are limiting the size of all custom pieces to no greater than 16 square feet. To calculate square feet, multiple the height * width of your mirror and divide by 144.
Mirrors greater than 16 square feet are extremely difficult to build and transport, making them too complicated for our current abilities.
For color, most colors are available, though color matching can be complicated. If you are looking to match a color exactly, we ask that you order a custom sample to see if the match is close enough.
For shape, certain shapes cannot be cut out of glass. Squares, rectangles, ovals and circles are all possible, but anything beyond that will need a conversation to make sure what you are imagining is possible.
How long do custom mirrors take?
Please message me and we can discuss timing. In general, custom mirrors take between 4 - 8 weeks.
Custom and personalized orders
All custom mirrors include finished photos, movies, and samples to make sure you understand exactly what you are getting before it ships to you.
Because custom mirrors are often no suitable for re-sale (because of their unique size, shape, or otherwise) we cannot accept returns on these pieces.
If you order a custom mirror from us, this will be clearly explained to you and also mentioned in the description for the listing attached to the order.
I Need to Match an Existing Mirror. Is this Possible?
In general, exact matching is difficult. A common example is when a piece of mirror in a cabinet or mirrored furniture breaks and needs to be replaced. If the mirror has a pattern (like antiquing) or is a color, matching the original can be nearly impossible.
In these situations we can try to find an answer for you but often advise just using "clear", regular mirror instead. This can be done by any local shop and is often the best way to solve this problem.
Shipping Custom Mirrors
In some cases, shipping via UPS is not possible due to the fragile design of a mirror. If we do not feel that a mirror can ship via UPS, then we will discuss using a blanket wrap shipper with you. Blanket wrap shippers are basically courier services for fragile goods, like antiques, mirrors, etc. and offer a better solution for some mirrors.
