Artwork and T-Shirts by Jose Pulido

Mis Nopales Art is the work of southern California artist, Jose Pulido. Since 2008, Jose has offered his original artwork on T-Shirts, Tote Bags, Prints, and other items here on Etsy.

Working from the Los Angeles suburb of Downey, CA, he creates screenprints using the Japanese Gocco machine. The Print Gocco system was created in Japan in the late 1970s and was immensely popular in Japanese homes through the years. It allowed users to go through all the steps of creating a screenprint from the convenience of one's own home. Now out of production, Gocco machines and supplies are diminishing and harder to come by.

Jose draws his inspiration from Mexican Art and culture, as well as from American pop culture. His Day of the Dead "Calaveras" or Sugar Skulls are inspired by Mexican artist, Jose Guadalupe Posada. The shop is updated regularly with new prints, stickers, and T-Shirts.
