Hi, I'm Linda. My husband Greg and I melt glass bottles flat in a glass kiln and turn them into cheese trays, spoon rests, and dip dishes. All of our bottles are upcycled from real, recycled glass bottles. We also have added rubber feet to all of our melted bottles to protect your tabletop.

We pride ourselves on having perfectly clean, clear glass. We do a very slow fire to be sure each bottle is perfect. We love what we do and we hope you love what we make.

Shop policies
Most bottles are in our studio ready to ship, but occasionally we have to make the bottle to order. These are all real recycled glass bottles that we melt down into cheese trays and spoon rests. They may have slight imperfections from being in the recycle bins, but we try to make each one as perfect as we can. They will have tiny air bubbles that occur when they melt, and some have a bubble near the neck that can be seen in the photos -- this is normal for a melted bottle.
The bottles are really quite durable as they are a double layer of fused glass. We carefully anneal the glass (cool it slowly)so that it is clean and clear and very hard. Any of the bottles with paint on them are original paints and are ceramic based, so they are similiar to glaze on pottery and should not come of with gentle cutting. I usually use mine with sliced cheeses or cream cheese, but they can handle a good bit of wear.
We recommend hand washing.
The bottles are glass and like most glass they will break under severe circumstances, but for general use they are fantastic.
We don't buy bottles, we try to hunt them all from landfills and save them from a nonfunctional end.
