Erin's Mixed Media Journey

Welcome to Erin's Mixed Media and More!!

I love color and texture and try to incorporate both into my artwork and life as much as possible.

From a young age I have been fascinated with art and creating of all sorts. In my growing years I took as many art classes as I could and learned from some incredible people. I did a lot of realistic work and took commissions for portraits as early as High School.

Unfortunately, Arthritis runs in our family, and started to effect my hands in my late 20's. I just went with it and used that time to learn about other avenues for my artistic pursuits. I learned about digital art, and saw the benefits of how working digitally could help me deal with the pain and shaking in my hands. But I missed the hands on aspect of working with various media, so I also decided to practice letting go of realism, control, and specific expectations, and instead branch out into whimsy and abstract illustration to tell my story. This took SO MUCH STRESS out of my creating process.

In 2018 I had my first surgery on my hands, and with it the realization that I will NEVER again have the hand control that I had when I was younger. Instead of becoming bitter, I decided to use this as challenge to find my new artistic voice. I am still in the process, which is why so many different things come out in my shop. But there is joy in the journey.

For years I have held on to all the little bits and bobs that were either a result of, or a reaction to my creative process. For several years friends and family encouraged me to open a shop and share my passions with the world, so I eventually listened. I have a range of products, from digital assets, to prints, stickers, and cards of my favorite artworks, inspiration packs, hand-bound books and journals, and occasionally even original artworks that I am willing to let go of :)

My shop is just as varied and colorful as my life is, and I like it that way. I have traveled to and lived in a variety of countries over the years, and I find that my experiences have influenced my style and imagination in a number of ways. My creative pursuits take me in different directions just depending on the muses, and my emotions for the day, so I hope there is a little bit of beauty available for just about everyone here.

Frequently asked questions

Are your shipping estimates accurate?

I try to post accurate shipping times and costs.

In the case of multiple items ordered, shipping costs can appear higher in your cart than they actually are. I will always reimburse you any overages charged for shipping. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I generally use USPS to ship my products. If you prefer a different method, I am happy to oblige, but there might be additional costs.

Shipping times during high traffic seasons are out of my control. If you ever need faster shipping please contact me so that we can set that up.

Why is my shipping so high for Greeting Cards?

Because I sell both single cards and packs of 100 cards in the same listing, I have left the domestic shipping at $3.50 and the international shipping cost at $10-$15 per unit. This is to make sure that large orders are covered.

I ALWAYS refund any shipping overages. If you are buying several cards at 1 per design, this will add up quickly. However, I can ship these cards together and will refund you the overages as soon as I can.

If you are unsure about shipping, please feel free to contact me.

Please note:: I will only be able to give shipping estimates if you provide me with an accurate idea as to how many cards you are wanting and where I will be shipping to.
