TIPS ON UNPACKING AND CARING FOR YOUR GICLEE ART PRINT:

Please, ensure to remove any tape that was used for packaging.

Remove the plastic top and carefully take the print out of the kraft/postal tube.(If A4 size, carefully slide the print out of the cardboard backed envelope)

To avoid damage, handle the print with clean, dry hands or white cotton gloves. The oils from your hands can affect the PH of the paper and reduce the archival qualities.
Be gentle and use both hands to handle the print to prevent it from bending; any crease on the paper will be permanent.

Don't rub your print or else the delicate surface will scratch off.

Please, ensure to keep moisture or condensation away from the artwork. Although the inks are water resistant, water exposure can cause severe damage. A water drop on the print surface will be permanently noticeable when it dries.

Please, try and frame your print as soon as possible to prevent it from damage, especially if your print arrives rolled (A3 size).

Avoid using the cardboard materials artwork is transported in for long-time storage of your print, they are not archival. However, the acid free tissue papers that we use are archival and protect the artwork.

We do not recommend hanging or storing your artwork in the basement attic or any other place with extremes in temperature and humidity. A stable cool dry environment is best. Avoid hanging your print in direct sunlight to protect the inks.

Please, remember that our Giclee fine art prints are not posters. These artworks are of the highest archival quality but also very gentle therefore we recommend that you frame your prints as soon as possible, ideally in a UV protective, acid free framing materials.

For kids’ rooms, we recommend the use of acrylic (plexi -glass) frames. These are safer to handle, shatter resistant and 50% lighter than glass.
Enjoy your new print!

PRINTING PROCESS

All Mleko fine art prints are professionally produced using the Giclée printing technique. The term Giclée (read ‘Zhee-klay’) derives from French and means ‘to spray’ or ‘to squirt’. This fine art digital printing process produces softness, rich colour and astonishing accuracy. Giclée art prints are commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic exhibitions.

Mleko prints are made using the latest Epson professional inkjets printers ensuring stunning colour, detail and extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut. Our prints are extremely durable and if appropriately cared for can last up to 75 years or more. We offer a wide choice of colours, sizes & customisation, therefore every order is unique and will be produced especially for you.

PAPER

Characteristics of fine art paper that we use:

100% cotton fine art & photo watercolour paper
300 g.s.m
acid free & museum grade
beautifully white tones
smooth texture
the paper meets ISO 9706 standards; the highest standard for archival quality

COLOURS

Please remember that colour reproduction can differ, depending on the computer monitor you are using (the colour you see on your computer screen may differ from what the final, printed image will look like).

PAPER SIZE GUIDE

Mleko prints are produced with a very thin, white border around the image. The white border is printed to ease handling & framing and also to protect the archival quality of the inks. The border is extremely thin and can be easily hidden behind the frame.

All our prints come in standard A sizes - currently, we offer A4 & A3 unframed prints.

Shipping

All our prints are sold unframed. A4 prints are placed in archival sleeves and are sent in cardboard backed envelopes which protect the artwork from bending and creasing.

Any items larger than size A4 are lovingly wrapped in an art protective tissue paper, rolled and transported to you in a thick postal/kraft tube. The tube is going to be too large to fit into most letter boxes so if you are not home when the delivery arrives, your package will be taken to the local collection office.

Your order is confirmed as soon as your payment has cleared. Prints are dispatched within 1-2 business days and delivered by First Class Royal Mail delivery service (your signature will be required at collection for all A3 prints). For personalised orders and bespoke items, the dispatch time can take up to 2-3 business days in busy periods. We will email you to let you know as soon as your print is ready for shipping. If there is any delay with your order, we will notify you within 24 hours.

You should receive your order confirmation by email soon after placing the order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours from placing your order, please email us and we will re-send it to you. We will always send you an email to let you know that your items have been dispatched.
