Quality vintage and curiosities from the PNW
I love to thrift or rescue old items. If they can't be loved or restored, sometimes I repaint them as pop culture icons or monsters or other "cursed" items. I specialize in vintage and antique collectibles, Midcentury Modern, vintage vinyl, glass, oddities, architectural salvage, and I have a particular affinity for bricks.
**SHIPPING INFORMATION: Much of my inventory is kept at offsite storage - I will pull purchased items on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Exception: Priority Mail upgrades will be pulled and shipped the next day!**
Who the Heck is MoJo?
Mother Joseph of the Sacred Heart, aka MoJo, was a Sister of Providence who lived from 1823 until 1902, and was responsible for the spread of medical services in the Pacific Northwest.
Despite the legacy of abuse the Catholic church still has to atone for and my own personal disappointments with the church I was raised in, MoJo has become a guide, source of inspiration, and I over time began to consider her my spiritual mother.
She was tougher than nails and lived a nontraditional life when it was difficult to gain respect as a woman. Researching her life has enriched my own in many ways, and I named my shop after her to honor her. Every package that leaves my shop has a sticker with her on the front.
If you'd like to learn more about this remarkable woman's life, you can visit my personal website at http://brickmojo.net/mojo/
