Ten years ago my mother taught me how to crochet. I've rarely been without a hook in one hand and yarn in the other since. I love working with the interplay of color and texture, and engaging in crochet design endlessly satisfies my creative side. My first designs were mandalas, which you can find in Modern Crochet Mandalas, published by Interweave. I'm currently working on a book of crochet motifs, to be published early next year.

Outside of the world of crochet, I also practice as a licensed psychologist. Crochet and other fiber arts offer a multitude of therapeutic benefits, from engaging in the soothing and meditative act of making stitches, to the opportunity to immerse yourself in a world of color and creativity.
