I love this devotional card! The cards (5) arrived on time and were protected in a muslin cachet bag. The service was wonderful! A significant amount of care and imagination went into each card; I was, and remain, very touched by loving professionalism and truly excellent service. Highly recommended! Thank you,

Saint Mary of Magdala is very dear to me. I am in a period of discernment looking back at the religion of my youth. When I came across this devotional card, I saw a sensitivity (and a look heart broken resignation) that touched my heart. The quality of the card is excellent. The service was impeccable. Communication was instituted by the seller to ensure the process of e-buying went smoothly for me. Just excellent! Highly recommended! Thank you.

Sometimes I like them so well it's hard to part with them, especially when I have a hard to find unique medal such as this vintage St. Patrick. All materials that compose this one of a kind gem is vintage.
This city hits all the right buttons. Great things happening in Detroit and great things being made in Detroit too!

Gentlemen, "feast" your eyes on this special day, February 1st, to St. Brigid of Kildare. Not only was she a lovely milk maid in her youth, but hold on to your bagpipes, she is the patron saint of beer! You can bring home this 6 pack today!

Not Your Typical Catholic Wares

The Society of Saints was founded more by happy accident than a purpose-filled business plan.

A few years back, I was racking my brain trying to find a Christmas gift for my mom. Her typical response is for us not to buy her any more "stuff", however I had on hand a few of my grandmother's old costume jewelry pieces. Knowing that none of us would wear them, I dissembled the necklaces and created for her a rosary. The idea was it would bring her happy thoughts about her own mother whenever she held it to pray. Well she loved it, and double bonus, I enjoyed making it. So much so I kept going and made a few more with other vintage necklaces I had collected. I love the tactile feeling of old beads, their uniqueness, and their look of days past. Plus all the history vintage beads bring to an already heavily loaded item such as a rosary. I think it was at that point when I officially caught the bead bug. l search flea markets, estate sales, farmers markets, rummage sales, and the like, for vintage beads to repurpose into chaplets, rosaries, and Catholic inspired jewelry. I will also incorporate antique religious medals and crucifixes when I am lucky enough to find them during my hunts.

As much as I enjoy creating 3 dimensional items I am still an illustrator and painter at heart, and I missed that form of creativity. I decided to expand my offerings to religious art and it was an easy decision since I have an affinity towards, and collect, antique prayer cards. I find them quite fascinating, tiny little works of art that people can carry around with them anywhere for reflection and enjoyment. To me, the cards printed today have lost their appeal and uniqueness due to mass-production and overuse of generic-looking imagery. Therefore, it was a no brainer that I would to create my own. I thought there might be an audience that would, like me, enjoy a newer variety of prayer cards that have an updated and modern illustrative style.

Thanks for visiting!
