I was once an Advertising/Marketing/Public Relations Executive 👩🏼👜👠 at a swanky fun Agency in the 🏙 City. I had been a forever single girl that lived in the city 🌆 with a Mid-Century Modern 🛋styled apartment, cocktails 🍸 at night with my girlfriends, Cafe sidewalk breakfast 🥐🍳 on the weekends, Starbucks ☕️, Traveling/trips ✈️🌉🛣🗽 to 🇬🇧 London, 🛍 shopping, 💻 working long hours......you get the picture.

I met my honey (6' 4" tall blue-eyed, strong, calm, college football 🏈 loving, golf playing ⛳️🏌🏼big hearted, hard-working wonderful man), moved to the ‘burbs 🏘 and left the hectic corporate world 🌎 behind and got hitched 💍👰🏼 - In 2011 I created my own business 🌼🌈🚘 MOD SQUAD PICKING.

MOD Squad Picking was born from my long time passion and love of ✨ MID Century Modern ~ Retro ~ Vintage ~ kitschy items.

I love anything Mid-Century Modern, the ✨ 50s, ✌🏻 60's and 🍄 70's. Think the Brady Bunch 🏠 with a pinch of 🕶 Jackie O, a dash of 🕺🏻 DiScO's Studio 54, a kiss 💋of Ali McGraw in 💙📕 Love Story, a bang of original 👩🏼👩🏻👧🏻 Charlie’s Angels, some avocado 🥑 green appliances, Eames 🔺🔶🔷 furniture, 📐 Frank Lloyd Wright design and dreams of Mod 🌴🏝🏖 Palm Springs homes.

A wannabe purveyor of mid century style with a deep enthusiasm for all things retro vintage. I have an unhealthy obsession for retro stuff, and am under strict instruction to stop this hoarding. But hang on, you can never have too many places to sit 🛋 or too many vintage lamps 💡 switched on when having a fabulous cocktail 🍹🍸🥃 party now can you?

My life is calm now, 😊 happy, 🦋 peaceful and ☀️ fun – riding in my 🚘 VW Beetle, listening to 🇸🇪 🎼 ABBA music while traveling the City 🌇 and way out rural 🛣areas looking, hunting and picking all those MID Century Modern 💎 treasures! I adore Kitschy treasures that bring back childhood memories or trigger a thought of days gone by. I only buy what I love ❤️ and I list almost everything I find! So if it does not sell - I'm stuck with something I love! I get my greatest pleasure when someone spots one of my pickings and it triggers a 💭🦄 childhood memory. I think many of us seek nostalgia and why buy something new when you can have something vintage instead?

Lover and Picker of all things MID CENTURY MODERN ~ Shag Carpet, Chunky Ceramic Ashtrays, Spaghetti Swag lamps, Fiberglass Atomic lamps, Avocado Green items, Orange Plastics, Lucite yellow smiley faces, orange Lucite flowers along with some Danish Modern designs. Eames Era! Fred Press and Georges Briard Glass! Atomic Space Age is all my rage/love!

I pick almost all my items at Estate Auctions and Estate Tag Sales ~ uncirculated gems 💎 that I hope to help find a new MOD home! 🛋
