Hi there! I’m Betina, the crochet designer behind Modello Stitches (formerly Riverside Stitches).

‘Modello’ is Italian for a pattern or model someone follows when making something. It also has meanings around fashion and style. It’s a word that resonates with my Italian heritage, represents what I create, and conveys the sense of modern style and sophistication that I aim to infuse into each of my designs.

Crochet is my creative passion, and I've been crocheting for over 20 years. I design fresh, modern crochet pieces that fit effortlessly into your lifestyle and home decor. I especially love creating designs that produce knit-like results and leave many wondering whether it's knit or crochet. My patterns are clear and easy to follow, complete with helpful photos to guide you along the way, so you can confidently achieve polished results that make you proud to say, "I made that."
