About

Where new is old and old is new

We find inspiration just about anywhere - an old weathered chunk of wood, a beat up stool at a yard sale, or a box of old knobs. Even an old bug trail in a piece of wood has a story to tell - it's up to us to find it. Most of our creations are not considered "done" until they look older than us. Our style is a bit rustic, a bit primitive, with a little folk art mixed in.

In any given day, you'll find Tim building a table with natural, live edge wood in his new workshop. If you hear footsteps above him, it's Ellyn puttering around in her 2nd story studio sculpting a Santa or coming up with a new clothespin folk ornament.

Shop policies

Welcome to our little primitive corner of the world. Here you'll find a mixture of wooden goods, ornaments, décor, and gifts all handmade by us - and typically without purchased patterns. As a result, you can expect some slight variances piece by piece, as well as some imperfections. Anything that is truly "one of a kind", such as our larger sculpted Santas, will be noted as such.

Our style is both rustic and primitive - nearly every item we make is distressed in some way to appear older and worn.
