My SeattleDrift bed is exactly what I wanted. The crating was over the top!

These pieces are hand-built and will therefore vary from the photographs to some degree. Slightly differing color, texture, pattern, and shape are some of the things that make this work fun and exciting. The use of reclaimed materials also lends an element of variation to each piece. The signs of the past uses of the materials adds further to the aesthetic characteristics.
I make every effort to faithfully represent the color and texture of my work in the photos you see. Sometimes the translation from reality to pixel can render wood a little warmer or a little cooler in the photos.

Shipping is only available in the continental United States at this time.

I run a solo shop and am involved in every stage of the production. Therefore, it can take a long time to complete your piece. The shipping times listed in the shipping policies section are just an estimate. It can, and frequently does, take longer than the listed times to complete a piece. I really do appreciate your patience during the fabrication process and I think that, even with the (possibly) long wait, you will enjoy your piece.

If you require faster service, contact the shop and we can arrange the details.

(Updated June 5, 2015) Freight carriers deliver to the curb. If you require service past the curb, into your building, or into your house or apartment, please be aware that this service will cost extra. Please let Moderndrift know if you need this service before you purchase an item. You will need to arrange this extra service with the freight carrier if Moderndrift is not notified at the time of purchase.
Refunds and Exchanges
In the event of shipping damage, please report it immediately. Note all visible scrapes, dents, dings, scratches, etc to the packaging/crating on the shipping documents prior to the delivery agent leaving your premises. Photographs of any damage to packaging, prior to accepting shipment, would be extremely valuable to any claim.
Shippers require very prompt notification in order to successfully fulfill a claim.

All sales are final. The nature of these hand-built pieces is such that a return cannot be made because the delivered item looks slightly different than the posted photographs. If you do have serious concerns, please contact ModernDrift and we can discuss repair or replacement.

In the event that I have begun building your piece and you need to cancel your order, there will be a 10% fee retained by ModernDrift.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders and variations on a piece are gladly accepted. Contact the shop and we can work on any ideas you have.
