ModernHabitat specializes in Mid 20th Century Artifacts for the Home from the 1940s - 1980s, with a focus on re-using and recycling quality vintage artifacts at affordable prices to create todays Modern Habitat.

Please take into consideration when purchasing an item, that we are relying on you to uphold your end of the bargain and actually make payment. 
Please pay within 48 hours of purchase. We cancel orders that are not paid for within 48 hours of invoicing/purchase.

We do not give prior notice of cancellation of sales but we do let Etsy know when we have a non paying customer and do leave negative feedback stating that an item was purchased and not paid for. 

We only accept Payment via Paypal, from confirmed addresses.
Shipping within the US is via USPS All of our shipping prices include tracking.

International shipping is via USPS Priority w/delivery confirmation. ANY CUSTOMS FEES OR COUNTRY TAXES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PURCHASER!
If you would like an item shipped faster such as next day air or via another courier service please feel free to convo me to make arrangements, ANY ADDITIONAL FEES ARE TO BE PAID BY PURCHASER, I will send you a quote via email so please wait to be invoiced if you would prefer another shipping service or courier.

All of our items are usually vintage one of a kind or hard to find vintage pieces. We describe items as fairly as possible and we welcome all questions prior to purchase. Please bear in mind all vintage items have a mild baseline of wear as each item has seen at least 30 years of life. 

To request a refund 1. Please let us know within 48 hrs of receipt. 2. Repack the item carefully 3. return item to us with BOTH tracking and Insurance 4. Let us know the item has been sent so we can keep an eye out for it 5. Once item is returned to us in the condition it was sent in we will refund the items Purchase Price, NOT including shipping fees!

Please be sure to pack well, if the item is damaged in transit, we will need to request an insurance claim, if the claim is denied due to poor packing there is nothing we can do. Insurance claims also take 30 days to process, please PACK WELL!
We'd rather have the item back in salable condition and this makes the credit process much faster for everyone!

We're sorry but we cannot eat the shipping charges in either direction. We do not refund or credit shipping. We CAN, help you to file a claim by sending scans of Waybills, Insurance and Tracking.

We use USPS to minimize transit time and therefore hopefully minimize damage, however things can happen no matter how well packed an item is and so we make sure all items are insured.
