5 out of 5 starsLooks more complicated when it's done than what it was to make but when I get the compliments, I say, it was worth all the effort :)

3 out of 5 starsThe pattern (in theory) is easy. However, the pattern as written seems incorrect for seed stitch. I simply used the P1, K1 seed stitch and everything has worked well from there.

About ModernMadeShop
Hi, I'm Melissa- the maker behind Modern Made.
Aside from a pattern designer, I’m a lover of rainy mornings, making a mess in the kitchen, and almost anything indoorsy. I live in the heart of North Carolina with my husband and baby girl Ada, who is the inspiration for everything I do and make.
Modern Made was created after years spent crocheting and trying to find a pattern in-line with a modern aesthetic. From books to blogs, very little was found.
I believe this granny-craft of ours could (should) all be updated. Less 1970’s basement. Modern, even. Your Great Aunt Edna and the Amish shouldn’t have a monopoly on all the fun. And so, Modern Made was born.
Know that every time you purchase a pattern and make alongside me, you are supporting small business and big dreams. I cannot tell you thanks enough. Xo, Melissa

Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my downloadable PDF?
You should receive an automated email from Etsy immediately after purchase. There will be a link to the downloadable PDF in the email. Sometimes Etsy's automated email response is glitchy, so if you have any problem at all receiving your download, please reach out. If you no longer have access to the email associated with your Etsy account, I'd be happy to send the PDF to a different email.
Can you tell me how to adjust the pattern to make my project a different size?
When you purchase a pattern, you are purchasing it for the size listed in the item description. Some patterns have instructions for multiple sizes, some do not. You can find that information in the item description. Sometimes I can help you adjust for a different size than what is listed, but that is not guaranteed.
What materials are needed for my project?
All that information is listed in the item description.
When you say a pattern is "Beginner" does that mean I can use it to learn to crochet?
No! No pattern teaches you how to crochet, not even beginner patterns. I use the American Crochet Association's rubric to grade the skill level of my patterns. According to the ACA, Beginner patterns include "Projects for first-time crocheters using basic stitches. Minimal shaping". They make good first patterns to follow, but do not teach you how to crochet or how to read a pattern. Please visit https://www.americancrochetassociation.com/blog/59464/crochet-skill-levels for more information about skill levels.
